THE YWCA HAMILTON SERVES ALL OF BUTLER COUNTY AND OPERATES THE ONLY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER IN THE COUNTY. THE CRISIS HOTLINE (1.800.618.6523) IS STAFFED 24/7/365. DOVE HOUSE IS AN 8 ROOM, 17- PERSON FACILITY PROVIDING SERVICES FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS AND THEIR DEPENDENT CHILDREN. THE PROGRAM WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TO ACCEPT PETS IN THE STATE OF OHIO, RECOGNIZING THE RELUCTANCE OF SURVIVORS TO LEAVE THEIR PETS BEHIND. DOVE HOUSE OPENED IN 1979.
