OUR PRIMARY SUPPORT-BASED PROGRAMS INCLUDE: HAVEN GROUP, WHICH WELCOMES ALL LGBTQIA+ YOUTH AND ALLIES TO HAVE A SAFE SPACE FOR PROGRAMMING AND CONVERSATIONS. THIS IS RUN BY COOPER MEDICAL SCHOOL. GRADUATE SERVICES ENABLE US TO REMAIN AN ACTIVE PART OF OUR LUCY GRADS' (AGES 18-28) LIVES, AND ASSIST THROUGH YOUNG ADULT MILESTONES INCLUDING COLLEGE, CAREER, PARENTHOOD, AND MORE. LUCY SCHOLARSHIP FUND, WHICH PROVIDES QUARTERLY SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR LUCY HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS, AND PROGRAM GRADUATES, TO CONTINUE THEIR POST-GRADUATE HIGHER EDUCATION. THE FUND CURRENTLY SUPPORTS DEPOSITS & FEES, TEXTBOOKS, DORM SUPPLIES, ROOM & BOARD AND TUITION. EMERGENCY FAMILY ASSISTANCE FUND PROVIDES ACTIVE YOUTH PARTICIPANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH SUPPORT IN TIMES OF EMERGENT FOOD INSECURITY, CLOTHING, RENT AND MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE, UTILITY AND BILL PAYMENTS, TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT, AND TUITION AND BOOKS FOR FIRST-GENERATION COLLEGE STUDENTS. IN 2020 -8 LUCY PROGRAMS HOSTED 305 YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS FOR 574 OPPORTUNITIES FOR 2,074 HOURS, AND 49 OFFSITE TRIPS -GENDER: 62% FEMALE AND 38% MALE -ETHNICITY: 75% HISPANIC OR LATINO, 21% BLACK/AFRICAN AMERICAN, 2% CAUCASIAN/WHITE, AND 2% ASIAN. -182+ VOLUNTEERS SUPPORTED LUCY WITH 3,905 HOURS, WORTH $66,385 -SINCE 2008, ALL 363 ACTIVE SENIORS HAVE GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL -326 ENROLLED IN COLLEGE -17 ENLISTED IN THE MILITARY -12 IN TRADE/TECHNICAL -8 INTO CAREERS -94% OF LUCY PARTICIPANTS LIVE AT OR BELOW THE POVERTY LINE, ATTEND UNDERPERFORMING SCHOOLS, AND HAVE LIMITED ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION AND FAIR WAGE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. -95% OF LUCY'S COLLEGE AND CAREER ACADEMY PARTICIPANTS ARE FIRST-GENERATION STUDENTS. -74% OF LUCY'S PARTICIPANTS ARE FROM IMMIGRANT FAMILIES OF 17 NATIVE COUNTRIES. -OF THE 307 SERVED IN 2020, AN ESTIMATED 71 IDENTIFY AS LGBTQIA+.
