What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE ARKANSAS NURSES ASSOCIATION (ARNA) IS THE STATE NURSES' ORGANIZATION THAT SPEAKS FOR PROFESSIONAL NURSING IN THE STATE. ARNA FOSTERS HIGH STANDARDS OF NURSING PRACTICE, PROMOTES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND ADVOCATES FOR THE PROFESSION OF NURSING. ARNA COLLABORATES WITH OTHER HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TO FACILITATE ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTH CARE FOR THE PEOPLE OF ARKANSAS.

Changes to Organizing or Governing Documents The Association added the category of Premier Membership to their Bylaws. Premier Membership is defined as individual members of CSNA who have ANA rights, privileges and benefits of membership as a result of their joint ANA-CSNA membership. Full Membership was changed to Standard Membership. The Association eliminated chapters and amended bylaws to reflect changes. An ARNA Chapter is a subsection of an ARNA Region that has a core group of ARNA members that desire to meet in their local area on a regular basis. The Association also amended the bylaws to add the option of virtual meeting for the Annual Membership Assembly.
