| General Explanation Supplemental Information for Form 990-PF | Form 990-PF, Part IX-A, Summary of Direct Charitable ActivitiesCross Paw Foundation, an Arizona nonprofit corporation ("Foundation"), was formed on July 25, 2007. The purpose of this foundation is to rescue animals that are abused, neglected, abandoned, or otherwise needy; especially to include PMU mares and foals used in the manufacturing of drugs such as Premarin; which purpose is exempt under section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.The Foundation will provide medical care, training, and rehabilitation for said rescued animals. On occasion, the Foundation will provide funds to a veterinary hospital to cover medical costs for an animal not rescued by the Foundation; an animal whose owner or rescuer cannot afford the needed medical procedures but who will keep and care for the animal, which otherwise would face euthanasia or impaired quality of life. The Foundation currently shelters 32 horses, 9 dogs and 7 cats.
