What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? LSA was formed to provide a single unified voice for individuals and businesses involved in the Louisiana shrimp industry. LSA's primary purpose is to monitor and further federal and state legislation that protects the Louisiana shrimp industry from unfair trade practices and to disseminate information on federal and state legislation affecting our industry to our members via newsletters and membership meetings.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 LSA provides funds to the Southern Shrimp Alliance ( A coalition of states with shrimp industries) when needed to seek "anti-dumping legislation". LSA also has a project manager keeping tabs on federal and state legislation affecting the shrimp industry and a newsletter is issued to members.
