We have been asked to file electronically by the IRS. We originally filed this return timely on 03/12/21. The IRS received it on 03/29/21 and determined it should have been filed electronically instead. We were not aware of this requirement and ask for forgiveness due to the recent rule change. On 10/19/21 we received the letter in the mail from the IRS stating we were required to file electronically and that is now what we are doing.
