Generally accepted accounting principals require the Union to disclose the unfunded pension liability on its Statement of Financial Position. An increase in the liability balance at the end of the year results in a decrease in the Unions fund balance. During 2020 the Unions defined benefit pension plan unfunded liability balance increased 6,427,676.
