What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Acton Indoor Tennis Association is one of a small number of non profit tennis clubs in Massachusetts and United States. As a primary volunteer-based organization, it is dedicated to the promotion of affordable life-long tennis. All revenues received are invested back into the club. The club relies on its membership to contribute to the club and requires a basic commitment of time and talents by ALL members to maintain and improve the club.

28 The Acton Indoor Tennis Club is a primarily volunteer-based organization, it is dedicated to the promotion of affordable life-long tennis. The club has 125 member ranging from adolescents to senior citizens. The club provides recreational tennis as a form of fitness and well being.

Explanation:
First, Greg Osche is a older club member and listed as book keeper. Greg died this summer due to a long term illness. As Pete Shanahan, President, took over the bookkeeping duties, he noticed that several bills were late in payment and certain deposits not made. This required and audit of 6 months of transactions because mistakes were made and changes/modifications to our internal reporting records and systems to be current and accurate. This took a longer time than expected in closing the books and finalizing our financial records at the closure of the fiscal year. Secondly, my only laptop is provided by my employer. There are security constraints in the laptop that didn't allow me to download or use IRS recommended technology which was against firm policy. I purchased a new and different laptop with enabled me to use form990online platform to file 990-EZ form electronically for the first time and not mail the paper firm. Therefore, pleading initial hardship in order to adapt to electronic format by having to acquire laptop.
