| Form 990, Part III, Line 1, Description of Organization Mission: | Vinson Hall Retirement Community (VHRC) is dedicated to serving military officers and their families, as well as retired government employees (GS-14 and higher) from any federal agency. The Vinson Hall Residents' Association was formed to contribute to the successful and long-continued operation of the VHRC, its constant improvement, and to aid in protecting the investment of residents, sponsors, contributors and the many persons who have given of their means and dedicated efforts in the planning and operation Vinson Hall. The objectives and purposes of the Association are: To encourage and maintain a cooperative and mutually helpful attitude and relationship between our Association and the Management of Vinson Hall, as represented by the Foundation Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer, the Vinson Hall Administrator, and their respective staff. To aid the trustees, the Chief Executive Officer, and the Administrator in all ways possible in a cooperative endeavor of administrating VHRC, and by making recommendations for improvements in the facilities, services and application of financial resources. To foster an interest in protecting and preserving the physical properties of Vinson Hall, and the viability of its financial resources by presenting the concerns of the residents through the voting membership of the President of the Association on the Board of Trustees, and on the Board's Finance and Vinson Hall Committees, and by the membership of the Treasurer of the Association on the Board's Finance Committee. Through the Association's representative there shall be four Standing Committees and any appointed committees that provide communications for the residents and VHRC management. To foster an atmosphere of friendliness, dignity, and mutual helpfulness among the residents and employees, and To guard the good name and reputation of Vinson Hall, and through all these purposes, combine to materially contribute to both present and future successful operations. |
