	The Sarasota County Farm Bureau sponsors several youth programs during the year. We sponsor add-ons at the Sarasota County Agricultural Fair. We donate to the livestock exhibitors at the Sarasota County Agricultural Fair in support of FFA and 4-H members. Members volunteered at a local schools and spoke to children about the different animals on his farm and where the food we eat that comes from the animals. These various events allows us to continue to work toward the betterment of those engaged in agriculture by teaching the next generation of agriculturalist the importance and impact we make in our communities.

	Sarasota County Farm Bureau had members participate in Farm Bureau Legislative Days. Members are given the opportunity to meet directly with state lawmakers and their staffs, and educate the public on the important role agricultural producers play in our economy and our efforts to keep food safe, abundant and affordable for all consumers.

	The Womens Committee hosted the Youth Speech Contest where students were asked to research an agricultural related topic. The goals of the contest are to promote a stronger interest and clearer understanding of the many aspects of agriculture, and to provide opportunities for youth hone their public speaking skills.
