Other	Part III, Line 28 - Policy Development - Wayne County Farm Bureau prides itself on the involvement of the volunteers in creating policy for the organization. We send out an opinionnaire to members via mail and email. We hold a meeting to discuss the finding of that opinionnaire and create resolutions that reflect the opinionnaire. These are presented at the annual membership meeting in the fall.
Other	Part III, Line 29 - Ag Promotion - Wayne County has been very active in promotion of Agriculture. We have been a long-time sponsor of the youth livestock exhibitors at the county fair. We support many of the local town celebrations and play an active role when possible. We support the youth at the fair by purchasing livestock at the fair auction. We sponsor the Mutton Busting at the county fair. Each contestant is given a shirt with ag promotion on it with each entry. We have a booth in the exhibit building show casing agriculture. We give donations to the food pantries in the county in lieu of our grocery giveaway. We are the title sponsor of community movie night along with the local theater.
Other	Part III, Line 30 - Ag in the Classroom - Wayne County Farm Bureau has an Ag in the Classroom Coordinator that visits the 3rd grade classrooms randomly throughout the year. They present on a variety of topics such as: livestock displays, grain bin safety, chemical safety, and soil health. We also have our annual farm safety day at the Wayne fair grounds. We present short lessons on chemical, livestock, grain bin, ATV/lawn mower, and PTO/machinery safety.
