Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts At the beginning of each year after elections, trustees are asked to disclose any conflicts prior to accepting their department assignment.Trustees may make a presentation but are asked to leave the meeting during the discussion and the vote of the transaction or arrangement involving possible conflict of interest.The Chairman of Board or Committee shall if appropriate appoint a disinterested person or committee to investigate alternatives to the proposed transaction or arrangement. After exercising due diligence, the Board of Trustees or Committee shall determine whether the organization can obtain with reasonable efforts, a more advantageous arrangement from a person or entity that would not give rise to a conflict of interest.
