| Form 990, Part III, Line 4a PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS | (continued from Part III) Since our humble beginnings in 1913, Grand View Health has grown. More than a hospital, we are Grand View Health, a community health system that has served generations of Bucks and Montgomery County residents through every stage of life. We continue our passionate dedication to our larger mission: to provide the best healthcare and wellness programs as well as services to our region. Grand View Health is in the process of upgrading its facilities to match its high-quality programs and create the ideal patient experience-one that integrates exciting breakthroughs in medicine with Grand View's distinctive culture of caring. The 190,000-square-foot, six-story, $197 million hospital expansion project includes 10 new Operating Rooms, 52 private patient rooms, and a new Emergency Department with 28 treatment rooms including three trauma bays to support our new Level II Trauma Center that was accredited on September 1. Grand View Health offers a range of outpatient services at six convenient locations: Chalfont, Dublin, Harleysville, Pennsburg, Sellersville and Quakertown. Additionally, we offer post-acute care services including Grand View Home Care, Grand View Hospice, Grand View Palliative Care and Grand View Medical Company. We also offer urgent care at two locations in Kulpsville and Quakertown. Our Department of Emergency Medicine provides care to 29,000 annual patients and is the first Geriatric Emergency Department in Pennsylvania accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians. With nearly 400 affiliated and independent physicians in 45 specialties on its medical staff, Grand View Health offers expertise in family medicine, women's health, pediatrics, urology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, neurology and other specialty areas. Nearly 100 physicians are employed by Grand View Health, including the staff of our medical practices with over ten locations across Bucks and Montgomery counties. Grand View Health has nearly 2,000 employees and over 600 volunteers. Grand View communicates new services through our website, gvh.org, an annual meeting and the HealthView health information and class catalog mailings, which are distributed to nearly 125,000 households in our primary and secondary service areas. Other print and digital projects are continually distributed to the residents in our service area to inform them of the resources available to the communities we serve. We actively promote our services and events on social media and other digital channels. The Grand View Connection Line provides callers in the community with physician referral recommendations, community health class enrollments and hospital service line information. This service is for individuals seeking information about or a referral to a Grand View Health physician or information about other programs offered through the hospital. Patients also have access to a patient portal, mygvh.org, to retrieve any necessary health information. In an effort to provide quality health education to the community, Grand View health hosts health education webinars and support groups. Topics range from orthopaedics and cardiovascular health to family and childbirth education and healthy lifestyle. Participants of all ages, genders, and ethnicities are encouraged to attend. In addition, Grand View participates in health fairs, expos and community events. Members of our staff present a variety of health fair offerings, including free screenings and smoking cessation programs with physicians and medical professionals. Guests may also speak with physical therapists, orthopaedic surgeons and other related clinicians. To identity and prioritize the health needs of the community it serves, and to meet requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Grand View Health joined a first-ever Southeastern PA (SEPA) Regional Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), with a specific focus on Bucks, Chester, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties. The collaborative, community-engaged approach involved collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources to comprehensively assess the health status of the region. This gives us a detailed look at the specific health challenges that face our community. It helps us prioritize outreach, prevention, education and additional healthcare services to meet our communities' most pressing health needs. Several areas identified included substance/opioid use and abuse, behavioral health diagnosis and treatment and access to affordable primary/preventive care. As a result of these findings we will be able to offer educational opportunities to address many of these critical gaps. Our Joint Replacement Center offers experienced orthopaedic surgeons who provide comprehensive joint replacement services for hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle. Patients recover in a specially constructed unit offering private rooms. Advanced joint replacement technologies often result in quicker recoveries and shorter hospital stays. They include minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery, shoulder replacement and ankle replacement. Grand View Health provides high-quality, compassionate surgical care for adults and children. We offer our patients convenient parking, a surgical short-stay unit and diagnostic testing locations throughout the community. Our highly experienced surgeons and surgical staff provide hands-on care using leading-edge technologies and techniques, designed for the best possible outcomes. We offer robotic-assisted knee replacement using the Mako Robotic Arm-Assisted Surgery System, leading to more precise surgery and possibly less pain and quicker recovery. We also offer robotic-assisted surgery with the da VinciXI system from Intuitiv, which can be used to perform general surgeries. In addition to general surgery, surgical specialties include colo-rectal, gynecology/urogynecology, maxillofacial, plastic & reconstructive, podiatry, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, urology, surgical oncology as well as vascular and endovascular options. Other significant services include: Cardiology - medical and interventional, Cardiac Cath Lab, Vascular services - surgical and non-surgical interventions, Neurology - stroke prevention and management and acute rehab services. Cancer services include inpatient and outpatient cancer care as well as Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Interventional Pulmonology. Grand View Health provides full services for women and children including maternity, neonatology and inpatient pediatrics and emergency services. Grand View Hospital is affiliated with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and part of the CHOP care network. Grand View Health is a member of the Penn Cancer Network, part of Penn Medicine, and a partner in providing greater expertise and access to subspecialty care for patients in the region. Grand View Health is also an affiliate of Penn Medicine Orthopaedic Surgery and Penn Medicine Teleneurology. Grand View Health weight management offers bariatric surgery eligibility testing and evaluation, weight-loss education on surgical and non-surgical options, and teams up with Grand View's registered dieticians to create nutritional plans, fitness programs and lifestyle management techniques.
