The organization is dedicated to the improvement of thoroughbred breeding and racing, and it fulfills that mandate by serving many segments of the industry through its subsidiary companies and by providing support to a wide range of industry initiatives. The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation is a charitable trust which provides, on a confidential basis, financial relief and assistance to needy members of the thoroughbred industry and their families. The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation reimburses The Jockey Club for the services of its personnel. Also, The Jockey Club provides administrative and accounting services to The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation.
