	1.Pennsylvania AdvocacyAFSJ advocates for policies, rulemaking, and legislation aimed at advancing public safety and criminal justice reform in Pennsylvania. In 2021, AFSJ engaged with state lawmakers in support of the Safer PA Act, which included six separate pieces of legislation. The five primary reforms sought by the Safer PA Act included housing and employment protections for crime survivors, strengthening victims access to compensation, increasing and incentivizing rehabilitative programs proven to reduce recidivism, and protecting the anonymity of sexual assault survivors. 2.Arizona AdvocacyAFSJ advocates for policies, rulemaking, and legislation aimed at advancing public safety and criminal justice reform in Arizona. In 2021, AFSJ engaged with municipal and state leaders to develop pilot trauma recovery centers in the state. AFSJ also supported several pieces of legislation that expanded the time limits for official orders of protection and emergency orders of protection, established trauma recovery center criteria, expanded the availability of funds for victims compensation programs, and advanced record sealing and sentencing reform.
