What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Blue Ridge Federation of Teachers Local #3350 is a non-profit organization that represents classroom teachers and other certified and non-certified employees through collective bargaining. The organization promotes the economic and social well-being of its members and the improvement of professional standards through securing all of the rights to which the membership is entitled and through securing conditions essential for providing the most effective services.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Blue Ridge Local #3350 serves approximately 100 members in the wall to wall union. We negotiated a 4 year contract to benefit our members. We also use a portion of our local dues to award scholarships to seniors. We awarded 2 $1000 scholarships this year. We also donate to memorials for members and/or immediate family of members who have passed away.
