What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To improve the election process by making the act of voting more accessable to citizens,to lessen the influence of money in politics and to generally make elected officials more responsive to the citizens of North Carolina.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 NC Voters For Clean Elections (The Organization) brought together a coalition with other non profits to educate the public and to engage in lobbying to oppose attempts to restrict voting rights and voter access, to restrict the influence of money in the political process,support judicial independence efforts , and to oppose restrictions on the right to protest. Together with other non profits, The Organization developed and published a report entitled ,"Blueprint For A Stronger Democracy"which outlined proposals to improve voting, elections, and judicial ethical standards for North Carolina. The organization conducts its outreach in various forms.Often The Organization holds a press conference.The conference is then streamed on social media.The Organization often sends the press conference to TV stations and newspapers that no longer staff press conferences. The Organization submits editorials to local newspapers, talks one on one with reporters, and creates social media toolkits that go on social media.
