We focused heavily on the city elections for mayor, city council, comptroller, borough district attorneys, and borough presidents as well as voter education around ranked choice voting and the importance of civic responsibility. We held candidate webinars for member company employees to meet and engage with candidates directly, ranked choice voting explainer webinars, and created a social media campaign to get out the vote. Alongside several major real estate companies, we created marketing advertisements to get out the vote to be used in advertising screens in Times Square, HearstLIVE and PENN District. |

TIP facilitates strategic pro bono projects, including the creation of the MTA Live Subway Map, and creates a pathway to efficiently test innovative technologies through the Transit Tech Lab. Since inception, the Transit Tech Lab has executed 36 innovative technology demonstrations with four transit agency partners. Areas of focus have included accessibility, subway signaling, bus route optimization, predictive maintenance, curb management, pandemic response, safety technologies to encourage return to transit, and carbon emission reduction tools. |

| Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c | The organization issues a conflict of interest and code of ethics policy to all of its employees, and non-employee directors and officers, on an annual basis. All employees are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest and sign and return the policy statement to the Human Resources Department where the signed acknowledgments are kept on file. Policy statements signed and returned by non-employee directors and officers are kept on file in the Corporate Affairs Department. Written policies are established, updated annually, and distributed to employees outlining professional conduct that is expected of employees. Policies are broad enough to ensure that all perceived and potential conflicts are encompassed. Procedures require that conflicts of interest are reported to the organizations General Counsel. The General Counsel utilizes outside counsel for guidance on non-routine legal matters including determining potential conflicts of interest. In the event an employee conflict is determined, the General Counsel discusses the conflict with the President /CEO, who in turn would discuss the conflict with the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. With respect to non-employee directors and officers, the Organizations Audit Committee oversees and monitors the Organizations Conflict of Interest Policy. The Committees duties in this regard shall include reviewing annually a summary and recommendations, if any, prepared by the General Counsel and the CFO of the Organization of the disclosures of all conflict of interest transactions presented to General Counsel and the CFO in accordance with the Organizations Conflict of Interest Policy and the Related Party Transaction rules of the New York State law. |
| Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 | The corporations Compensation Committee is an independent committee comprised of members of the Board of Directors. The Committee is comprised of individuals unrelated to and not subject to the control of management. The Committee members do not have any material financial interest in its transactions. The members do not receive compensation subject to managements approval. The committee engages a benefits consulting firm on an annual basis to prepare a competitive compensation analysis for the organizations most highly compensated employees prior to making its decision. The consultant collects pertinent data of comparable positions at peer organizations, and includes the information in a report to the Committee. The comparable data is compensation ordinarily provided by similarly situated organizations which are comparable in size, nature, and operations. The consultant also includes data that describes current year trends in overall staff compensation increases. The final report is provided to the Compensation Committee. The Committee maintains adequate and contemporaneous documentation. Terms of the Committees deliberations and its conclusions are agreed upon and recorded in writing prior to the date compensation changes are instituted. The documentation records the decision-making process and the actions of the Committee members. |
