Since 2018 our return has been rejected because the IRS Master File still regards us a a (19) and a telephone call in 2019 was unsuccessful in reconciling this anomaly so to save time and effort and to make a timely submission of this document we are using the (19) designation.
Form 990, Part I, Line 1	The Home Association operates and maintains the building, grounds and associated monumenta. It conducts the business activities that provide an opportunity for the the Post 469 American Legion Family to perform its duties of patriotism, of loyalty to American ideals, to support and honor veterans and to foster the sense of obligation to community, state and nation. These precepts are prominently featured in the Home Association social hall.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 1a	The daily operation of the Home Association Canteen is managed by a paid manager under the direction of the organizations President and Vice President. Various members of the American Legion family participate in originating and executing various activities and social and Legion programs.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 5	THE CASH REGISTER SYSTEM USES A SOFTWARE KNOW AS JAR TECH WHICH IS MADE TO KEEP TRACK OF GAMBLING AS WELL AS OTHER TYPICAL BAR SALES. THERE IS CONSISTENT DEVIATION BETWEEN THE TOTAL SALES SHOWN BY IT AND THE AMOUNT OF MONEY DEPOSITED. IT IS BELIEVED THIS DEVIATION IS DUE TO THE COMPLEX NATURE OF A SINGLE BARTENDER HANDELING NUMEROUS DUTIES, CONFUSION ABOUT THE NUMEROUS GAMES HAVING SIMILAR APPEARANCE, AND UNTRAINED AND AMATURE PART TIME EMPLOYEES AND MANAGMENT. THIS DOES NOT RULE OUT THEFT ALTHOUGH NONE HAS BEEN DETECTED. IN 2021THE DEVIATIONS AMOUNTED TO $98,355 SOME OF WHICH WERE EASILY EXPLAINED BUT UNCORRECTED BUT OTHERS NOT. IN 2022 EFFORTS WERE INSTITUTED TO HIGHLIGHT THESE DEVIATIONS AND TO IDENTIFY WHERE SOME MAY EXIST.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 6	MEMBERS OF THE HOME ASSOCIATION INCLUDE MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING OF AMERICAN LEGION POST 469, AMERICAN LEGION AUXILLARY UNIT 469, AND SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION SQUADERON 469 WHO CHOOSE TO BECOME MEMBERS BY PAYING A ONE TIME FEE AND A LIMITED NUMBER OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS UNAFFILIATED WITH THE AMERICAN LEGION WHO PAY AN ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE. LEGION MEMBERS ARE VOTING MEMBERS ALTHOUGH ALL OTHERS PARTICIPATE AT MEETINGS AND VOTE IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY AND FOR THE MOST PARTARE UNCHALLENGED.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7b	DECISIONS OF THE GOVERNING BODY CAN BE REVERSED BY VOTING MEMBERS OR ACTIONS CAN BE INITIATED BY VOTING OR NONVOTING MEMBERS AT OPEN MONTHLY MEETINGS. IN REALITY NONVOTING MEMBERS ARE THE PERSONS WHO KEEP THE ORGANIZATION FUNCTIONING AND THEY INITIATE MOST OF THE ACTIVITIES IN THE CANTEEN AND SUPPORT THE LEGIONAIRES IN THEIR AMERICAN LEGION ENDEVORS.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 8b	MANY ACTIONS ARE PERFORMED BY THE AUXILLARY, SONS, OR AD HOC GROUPS OR INDIVIDUALS. MINUTES ARE KEPT BY THE AUXILLARY, SONS AND ALONG WITH AD HOC GROUPS ARE REPORTED AT THE OPEN MEETINGS WHERE MINUTES ARE KEPT. BUT DETAILED FORMALLY KEPT RECORDS ARE NOT KEPT.

From the vantage point of November 2022 it has gotten more dire.
