| General explanation attachment | EXEMPT PURPOSE:Educate members throughtout the year about recent trends and policy changes impacting the lodging industry. We provide written and electronic educational materials to members; we provide cost saving benefits such as discounted credit card processing and insurance programs. We provide an annual convention complete with a trade show for members. The number of persons benefitted by our program is estimated to be in excess of 2,500. Voices of Montana Tourism - a collaboration of 21 statewide organizations that formed in 2011 to raise awareness about tourisms value to Montana. Through education and communication, the group works to foster supportive policies affecting tourism and tourism promotion - which is funded with lodging tax revenues paid by overnight guests of Montana accommodations. |
