Explanation:

We had filed the 990EZ manually and got a letter dated August 12, 2022 that we had left off the last number of the EIN number. I had caught the mistake already and had resent in the 990EZ in late April, 2022. The filing did not show up on the IRS website as having been received. I started calling the IRS on August 12, 2022 but was disconnected due to the agents being busy (directed to call again). This week, I finally spoke to agent #1004007854. He told me that we needed to file electronically and showed me online how to do it. I did not know this. We will file online in the future and we request that you wave a late penalty, as I tried filing on time.
