Return Reference Explanation
Schedule G, Part II, Line 1 We also had a second event planned for calendar year 2022 (Fourth of July event), but it was postponed until September 2022, which is in our next FY. The club incurred minor expenses for this postponed event during this FY that totaled $563. This amount is included in 990EZ Part I, Line 6c.

Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 10 Lions of Illinois Foundation ($1,000), eye care expenses paid ($691) to optician practice, Barrington Giving Day ($2,500), High School scholarships ($8,000), Eagle Scout scholarships ($2,500), Barrington Township Food Pantry ($800), Canine Companions ($325), Camp Lions ($5,250), and other small contributions made to non-profits ($2,850) including American Lung Assn and JourneyCare.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 16 Includes club meeting expenses ($2,867), dues/subscriptions to other entities ($3,018), club bowling outing ($878), and club steak fry membership drive event ($1,553). Other miscellaneous expenses ($272) including purchase of printer ink and paper, filing fees, purchase of club member (non-cash) raffle prizes, purchase of name badges, etc.
Form 990-EZ, Part I, Line 20 The final payment ($18,283) made to our vendor (Kemper Lakes Golf Club) for our annual golf outing fundraiser that was held in May 2022 was made by check in mid-June 2022. The check was not cashed until July 2, 2022, which is in our next FY. Thus, this amount is reflected in our beginning-of-year cash balances. Similarly, the club paid two $500 Eagle Scout scholarships during this FY for which the checks were not cashed until our next FY.
Form 990-EZ, Part II, Line 24 In March 2020, the club made a $1,100 deposit to rent a trailer-sized freezer during our planned annual 4th of July community event that we produce. Due to the pandemic, the event was canceled and the deposit was carried forward to the next year by the vendor. The event was again canceled in 2021 and the deposit was again carried forward to 2022. The club also has about $69 in postage stamps in hand for future mailing activities.
