What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN AREAS OF CONFLICT AND NEED, BUILD BRIDGES ACROSS NATIONAL, CULTURAL, RELIGIOUS AND ETHNIC BOUNDARIES, AND ACHIEVE GLOBAL IMPACT.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 HELPED CREATE SEVERAL SUCCESFUL PEACE FORUMS, INCLUDING INDIA/PAKISTAN, ISRAELI/ARAB, GREEK/TURKISH, TURKISH/AMERICAN, AND JEWISH/ARAB/MUSLIM/AMERICAN. ALSO LAUNCHED A FORUM RELATED TO MICROCREDIT. THE FORUMS BEGIN BY BUILDING UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN MEMBERS ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF CONFLICTS, AND THEN UNDERTAKE ACTIVITIES RANGING FROM MEETING WITH POLITICAL LEADERS TO INITIATE POLICY CHANGES, TO PROMOTING PEACE THROUGH CROSS-CULTURAL COMMUNICATION, TO CHAMPIONING SPECIFIC MEDIA , AND MICRO- ENTERPIRSE INITIATIVES IN CONFLICT AREAS. CHAMPIONED SEVERAL SUCCESSFUL GLOBAL CONFERNCE CALLS. THE CALLS, WHICH HAVE COVERED TIMELY AND RELEVANT ISSUES RELATING TO GLOBAL AND REGIONAL CONFLICT, HAVE INCLUDED TOP RESOURCES, SUCH AS NY TIMES COLUMNIST TOM FRIEDMAN AND THE ISRAELI AND PALESTINE AUTHORS OF THE GENEVA ACCORDS.FACILITIATES CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND CULTURAL ENGAGEMENT MISSIONS ORGANIZED BY INDEPENDENT GROUPS.
