Explanation:

This is my first year running the finances at the American Legion Post 116 on my own. The previous finance officer had a family emergency and transferred everything over to me. I worked with him on the 2020 tax year then he trained me on everything else. It was a lot of information to take in and this is a volunteer ran organization. I realize I am late on this and I am introducing reminders, processes and procedures that this will be completed prior to the deadline. I'm adding the Nov 15 deadline to the Finance Officer SOP's in the next meeting. I apologize for any inconvenience and ask to please forgive me on this year's filing.
