What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Sustainable Michigan Fund's purpose is to advocate for and educate the public and the legislature about matters, including ballot proposals, laws, and proposed legislation, that benefit the public health and welfare and to bring about positive change in Michigan's environmental agenda.

We failed to submit our IRS 990 filing timely this year due to a change in the Board leadership responsible for this task. Our President resigned and moved out of the state this summer and this duty was not transferred to another Board member. We have selected a new Board president and provided him access to the online filing system we use to generate these submissions.
