What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP FOR THE RADIOLOGIC SCIENCE PROFESSIONS AND TO PROMOTE EXCELLENT PATIENT CARE THROUGH QUALITY EDUCATION AND LEGISLATION.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO TECHNOLOGISTS EMPLOYED IN CONTEMPORARY RADIOGRAPHY DEPARTMENTS AND TO STUDENTS LOOKING TO ENTER THE PROFESSION. THROUGH THE ORGANIZATION'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND OTHER ONE DAY SEMINARS, THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN THE LATEST TECHNIQUES AND PRACTICES THAT ARE NECESSARY TO EXCEL AS A PROFESSIONAL IN THE FIELD OF MEDICAL IMAGING. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS WORKSHOPS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SPECIALIZED CERTIFICATION IN VENIPUNCTURE, WHICH IS A CERTIFICATION THAT IS REQUIRED IN ORDER FOR ONE TO CARRY OUT THIS MEDICAL PROCEDURE. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR RADIOLOGY STUDENTS AND ADVOCATES FOR LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY ISSUES IMPORTANT TO THE PROFESSION.
