What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? UNION REPRESENTATION
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) is the largest federal employee union proudly representing 700,000 federal and D.C. government workers nationwide and overseas. Local 997 is a part of this organization for Federal employees in the Montgomery area (Maxwell Air Force and Gunter Annex). We also represent employees from the Fort Rucker area. Funding is received from the National Office from membership monthly dues. Workers in virtually all functions of government at every federal agency depend upon AFGE for legal representation, legislative advocacy, technical expertise and informational services.
