We would like to request abatement of the penalty. We apologize for our late filing, but we are an organization that is run by a group of Technology Directors for School Districts in Washington and Oregon states. During the pandemic we had to cancel our only fund raiser and lay off our person who had managed our finances. Because it had now become an all-volunteer organization, we made some mistakes while trying to figure things out and get things filed timely. We also found our records were not being kept up to date. Our board was consumed with their own work of trying to implement new technology in schools as the pandemic was going on. I would like to ask for some forgiveness in our situation. We have recovered as an organization and have been able to hire a new company to help us manage our financial affairs, but we had fallen behind on filing our returns timely.
