	The MTRAA sponsors a cattle sale to showcase breeders by giving them an outlet to market livestock to interested purebred and commercial cattle producers all over the United States. In 2022, the 39th Annual Prestigious NILE Red Angus Sale was held. This organization receipts the money from the sale in a clearing account and then disburses the monies back to the consignors of the sale. The MTRAA helps promote this sale through advertising and also hosts a luncheon for the people in attendance.

	The MTRAA promotes our breed along with breeders through the Calendar program. Breeders are able to purchase calendar space then the calendars are printed with gestation calendars and sale dates. The calendars are then dispersed through the breeders to commercial cattleman, through trade shows, sale barns, and other various agricultural industries. We printed over 600 calendars. This program was one of the first of its kind in the Red Angus breed.

	The MTRAA has an annual mmeting that is held in October in conjunction with our NILE Sale. After our annual meeting, we have an annual banquet that we encourage membership to attend. In 2022, we had over 100 attendees that helped the MTRAA celebrate its 50th anniversary. This banquet is for the purpose of its members to recognize their volunteerism and also to develop and renew relationships within our organization.

	The MTRAA believes in the youth of the Red Angus breed. The Buckle Program was established in the 1990's and has continually grown. The program had over 30 buckles awarded to the youth in 2022. In order to win a buckle, the youth has to have Overall Grand Champion or Reserve Champion Market Steer, Breeding Project, or Carcass of their county and these animals are required to be 50% Red Angus. Many breeders help sponsor this program through donations to purchase the buckles With so many winners, the Assoiciation supplements the cost of this program.

	The Directory Program is a bi-annual project that we do to list the breeders that are Montana Red Angus Assoicaiton members in a print form booklet. We then distribute through ad industry businesses to reach the commercial cattleman. In 2022, we were able to distribute these directories at the national Convention to Red Angus breeders from around the United States. We printed over 500 directories. In this booklet it also informs the reader of the history of the MTRAA, special dates to remember, and a map to show where each breeders location.

	MTRAA holds an annual Online Semen Auction. Semen is donated by the breeders of the MTRAA which helps support the MTRAA to use for promotion of the Red Angus breed. The donations have been purchased from around the United States. In 2022, we had over twenty lots.

	The Donation Heifer program is a program that one breeder from the association donates a heifer calf to the association to help fund the promote the Red Angus breed. In 2022, the monies were used for advertising such as billboards, sale barn signs that reference the Red Angus breed. Also, the monies helped with the NILE sale luncheon, website maintenance, newsletters to the membership, the annual banquet. These are just a few of the innovative programs and services we offer to our membership.
