What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Branch 892 of the National Association of Letter Carriers police the work contract of the United States Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers in the Postal Installations of Florence, Sheffield, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia, and Russellville, in the state of Alabama. Also, Branch 892 supports the Annual Food Drive of the USPS, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and other charitable organizations in honor of deceased members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Branch 892 of the National Association of Letter Carriers polices the work contract between the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers, which benefits its 108 members in matters of pay, health benefits, and work environment. These members are city letter carriers in the postal installations in Florence, Sheffield, Muscle Shoals, Tuscumbia, and Russellville, in the state of Alabama. Also, Branch 892 supports the work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, which benefits about 1000 people who have muscular dystrophy. Branch 892 is active in the Food Drive, sponsored by the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers. The roughly 20,000 people in the Shoals Area, Alabama are benefited by the Annual Food Drive.
