What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE MISSION OF FOLEY MAIN STREET IS TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF EXISTING AND FUTURE BUSINESSES IN THE DOWNTOWN FOLEY DISTRICT THROUGH ORGANIZATION, PROMOTION, AND DESIGN.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Economic Vitality Support of Downtown Businesses. average of 32 business visits a month. 91 economic development contacts or meetings to improve or grow downtown Foley. Met or talked to with 45 prospective businesses interested in downtown Foley. Assisted with 10 facade grant applications - four facade grants awarded. Completed an Envisioning Downtown Foley process. 3340 people/businesses participated in Vision week. there were 932 survey responders. Final Products of Envision process were: comprehensive survey results, a detailed marketing analysis and a downtown strategy plan.

Foley Main Street was accepted into and completed the Community Growth Accelerator program offered by the ALTogether Coalition, an alliance of four organizations: the Business Council of Alabama, the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, Opportunity Alabama and Main Street Alabama. This 10-12 week program helped identify and scale real estate projects and economic initiatives that we hope can help Foley Main Street district projects be competitive for private and grant funding.
