What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The Bluemont Citizens Association (BCA), a non-profit organization, was established in 1962 for the betterment of the Bluemont community. The BCA continues to accomplish this mission today by voting on, providing funding for, and supporting a variety of improvements and outreach initiatives in and around the historic village.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The BCA continued serving its mission of providing for the betterment of the Bluemont community through a variety of activities, contributions, the organization of community events, and publication of a community newsletter. The BCA provided donations to local families who were in need; awarded post-secondary educational scholarships to students in our service area who had participated in community service endeavors; made memorial donations to recognize contributions of community residents who had served the community in significant ways; organized community clean-up events, planted and maintained outdoor barrel planters to enhance the local streetscape.
