Candace Poling, CPA, was extremely ill in November 2022 when I filed the extension and didnt notice that the extension was rejected because I entered 07/01/2022 as the tax period beginning instead of 07/01/2021. I didnt realized it was rejected until I opened my 2021 software again in May 2023 to complete the return. I am attaching the rejection notice to show that I did, in fact, attempt to extend the return. Please waive any penalties and interest related to this issue. If you need a doctors statement to document my illness I am glad to provide one, or more, if necessary. Thank you for your understanding.
