OUR FIRST ITP CONFERENCE SINCE 2019 TOOK PLACE IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON WITH MORE THAN 160 ATTENDEES, AND WE OFFERED A VIRTUAL PROGRAM OF SELECT SESSIONS ON THE PDSA CONFERENCE WEBSITE PLATFORM IN SEPTEMBER - FOR ITP AWARENESS MONTH. THE EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS WERE VIEWED MORE THAN 1,000 TIMES. IN ADDITION, PDSA HOSTED A WEBINAR WITH THE ITP SUPPORT ASSOCIATION IN THE UK AND TWO WORLD-RENOWNED ITP EXPERTS IN RECOGNITION OF GLOBAL ITP AWARENESS WEEK. PDSA ALSO HOSTED THE INTERNATIONAL ITP ALLIANCE MEETING AS PART OF ITP CONFERENCE 2022. TWELVE GLOBAL AMBASSADORS REPRESENTING 10 COUNTRIES PARTICIPATED IN THE MEETING. ON THE RESEARCH FRONT, PDSA STAFF WAS BACK TO ATTENDING, EXHIBITING AND PRESENTING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AT A NUMBER OF SCIENTIFIC/MEDICAL MEETINGS INCLUDING AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY (ASCO), ASSOCIATION OF PEDIATRIC HEMATOLOGY /ONCOLOGY (ASPHO), THROMBOSIS AND HEMOSTASIS SOCIETIES OF NORTH AMERICAN (THSNA), NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF RARE DISORDERS (NORD) RARE DISEASE SUMMIT AND THE NORD LIVING RARE, LIVING STRONGER PATIENT/FAMILY FORUM, AND THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY ANNUAL MEETING AND EXHIBITION (ASH). PDSA ALSO ORGANIZED AND HOSTED THE ASH ITP BREAKFAST AND ICON (ITP CONSORTIUM OF NORTH AMERICA) ANNUAL MEETING. OUR ABSTRACTS ON PATIENT QUALITY OF LIFE WERE PRESENTED AT ASH, EHA (EUROPEAN HEMATOLOGY/ONCOLOGY ASSOCIATION) AND NORD. WE FUNDED FOUR INNOVATIVE PATIENT-CENTERED ITP RESEARCH STUDIES IN 2022. PDSA STAFF UPDATED TWO OF OUR BOOKLETS: THE ROLE AND FUNCTION OF PLATELETS AND HEALTH INSURANCE AND ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FOR ITP PATIENTS, IN ADDITION TO CREATING TREATMENT TABLES FOR ALL AVAILABLE ITP TREATMENTS, WHICH CAN BE FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE, PDSA.ORG. WE DEVELOPED A NEW PROGRAM THIS YEAR, "MEMBERSHIP MATTERS" FEATURING PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS TALKING ABOUT HOW PDSA HAS HELPED THEM IN THEIR JOURNEY WITH ITP.
