Part VI, Line 19	Minutes financial representation is made twice a month - once to Executive Board and once to General Membership. Also both documents are filed at the Post providing access to anyone who wishes to see them.

We are comprised of all Veteran volunteers. In the past one of our members prepared the tax returns based on financial information provided by our bookkeeper. We did not realize that we needed to file electronically this year - first time for us. Once we got the notice from the IRS we immediately called the IRS support desk got direction on how to submit electronically identified a software application to use and have now completed our 2021 tax return on line. For the future we are going to hire a tax preparer to ensure that we are aware of all pertinent laws guidelines etc related to Nonprofit tax returns. In prior years we have always done the short form this is the first time for the 990. We ask please that you waive any penalties and or interest for the late filing as we responded quickly and have taken steps to ensure this does not occur again. Thank you. BTW - the IRS support desk was amazing and helped we thru this process.
