All Trust activities are subject to the policies and procedures of the related entity, Salem Township Hospital. Salem Township Hospital complies with all applicable regulations, has policies and procedures for conflict of interest, whistleblowers, document retention and destruction, compensation, corporate compliance and oversight.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Salem Township Hospital Employee Benefit Trust does not employ staff. All compensation matters are determined by related entity, Salem Township Hospital. Salem Township Hospital's policies regarding compensation include oversight by the Administrative Team, review by the Board's Personnel Committee and approval by the Board of Directors. The hospital uses annual compensation survey by SIHHRA/CISHHRA (Southern and Central IL Society for Healthcare Human Resource Associations) to assist in setting minimum pay rates for each grade. Market wage adjustments are performed when necessary and merit adjustments are done annually according to policies and procedures. The President/CEO's salary is established by the Personnel Committee based on market wages and an annual merit evaluation (also performed by the Committee).
