THE ORGAINIZATION SUFFERED A CATASTOPHIC DAMAGE TO ITS BUILDING WHICH CAUSED MANY OF ITS RECORDS TO BE LOST AND/OR DAMAGED. AT THE SAME TIME THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TO ITS LEADERSHIP STRUCTURE. THESE EVENTS PREVENTED THE ORGAINIZATIOIN FROM TIMELY FILING ITS TAX RETURN AS THE RECORDS HAD TO BE RECOVERED AND RE-ORGAINIZED.WE RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THAT THIS BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR REASONABLE CAUSE OF LATE FILEING AND THAT ALL LATE FILING PENALTIES BE ABATED.THIS IS A SMALL NON-PROFIT ORGAINIZATION DOING ITS BEST TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE VETERANS IN ITS COMMUNITY AND A LATE FILING PENALTY WILL HAVE SIGNIFICANT NEGATIVE EFFECTS TO ITS ABILITY TO CONTINUE TO SERVE THEM IN THE FUTURE.
