| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: The Sharing program distributes gently used items from Assistance League's thrift store to appropriate non-profit organizations. During this fiscal year 73 clients received service. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Buddy Bears Program - Stuffed teddy bears are provided to the police, fire, and sheriffs departments and to the Pediatric Department at UNM Hospital for use in traumatic situations involving children. During this fiscal year, 1200 bears were distributed to 34 agencies. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Assault Survivor Kits (ASK): provides clothing, snacks and hygiene kits for assault victims. During this fiscal year, 441 persons were served. A new computer was purchased to assist with reports to the Police and District Attorney. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Tender Loving Care (TLC) provides handmade receiving blankets, knitted or crocheted hats and fleece blankets and hats for University of New Mexico Hospital; fleece blankets and hats for New Futures High School and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners; and literacy bags to Cuidando de Los Ninos. During this fiscal year, 20 members volunteered 9014 hours and donated 3192 items. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Hungry and Homeless - During this fiscal year, from June 2022 to May 2023 for HealthCare for the Homeless ALA provided 100 bags of toiletries twice in 2022 along with 100 pairs of underwear and socks each month. For Silver Horizons ALA provided $1,000.00 per month to purchase meat and produce for needy senior adults and many grandchildren. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: Assistance League of Albuquerque operates a thrift store with 100% volunteers. Clothes are sold and also given to local nonprofits for their clients. A total of 96 vouchers were distributed to local non-profit organizations totaling $3,743.50. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 10: Scholarships - Scholarship program provides scholarships to students at Central NewMexico Community College. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 11: Other Programs - Assistance League of Albuquerque has a variety of other small programs. |
