SINCE 2002, WE HAVE INSPIRED PEOPLE TO GIVE BACK TO THEIR COMMUNITY, AND WE TURN THIS GENEROSITY INTO LASTING CHANGE ACROSS OUR REGION, INCREASING ACCESS TO RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES THAT HELP ALL PEOPLE SUCCEED. THE FOUNDATION IS ANNUALLY REQUIRED TO FILE A RETURN OF ORGANIZATION EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAX (FORM 990) WITH THE IRS. THE CHAIR OF THE FOUNDATION AND THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR REVIEW THE SIGNED STATEMENTS. ANY POSSIBLE CONFLICTS ARE BROUGHT TO THE BOARD'S ATTENTION. ANY MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHO IS CONNECTED WITH A PROSPECTIVE GRANT RECIPIENT IN ANY OFFICIAL CAPACITY SHALL ABSTAIN FROM VOTING ON THE PROPOSED GRANT.
