OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS EXPERIENCED A HIGH RATE OF TURNOVER, WHICH AFFECTED SEVERAL KEY ADMINISTRATIVE ROLES, INCLUDING OUR TREASURER. WE HAVE HAD THE CHALLENGE OF ONBOARDING FOUR DIFFERENT TREASURERS IN TWO YEARS, WITH EACH TRANSITION BRINGING A LEARNING CURVE AND THE TASK OF PIECING TOGETHER FINANCIAL RECORDS AND PROCEDURES FROM THEIR PREDECSSORS. THIS CONTINUAL CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT ORGANIZATIONAL DISRUPTION AND LED TO THE OVERSIGHT OF OUR TAX FILING OBLIGATIONS. WE HAVE TAKEN MEASURES TO RECTIFY THE SITUAITON, WHICH INCLUDE IMPLEMENTING A TRANSITION PROCESS FOR NEW TREASURERS THAT INCLUDES TRAINING ON ALL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, WITH A PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON TAX FILING REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHING A FINANCE COMMITTEE TO OVERSEE THE TREASURY FUNCTIONS AND ENSURE THAT KNOWLEDGE IS PRESERVED AND PASSED ON AND INSTITUTING AN INTERNAL AUDIT PROCESS TO RECONCILE PAST RECORDS AND ENSURE THAT ALL FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES ARE ACCURATELY REFLECTED AND REPORTED. THE ORGANIZATION HAS NOT BEEN DELINQUENT IN ITS FILING OBLIGATIONS PRIOR TO THIS TAX YEAR, AND HAVE FILED ALL REQUIRED RETURNS. BASED ON THE ABOVE, WE ARE REQUESTING ANY LATE FILING PENALTIES BE WAIVED.
