What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? La Societe De Femme is a fraternal organization composed of female members (Dames) organized to support and assist the Veterans Organization of La Societe Des Quarante(40) Hommes(Men) Et Huit(8) Chevaux(Horses commonly called The 40 and 8. La Grand du Louisiana is the State Level of organization determined by La Societe De Femme National By-Laws and Constitution. La Grande meets at various times and locations within the State of Louisiana. We support the same charitable programs as the 40 and *, as well as performing various activities when requested.

Explanation:
Did not receive a Notice from IRS regarding Late Filing Status but am aware 990N was not filed. At time of filing was not able to submit the 990N Postcard. As part of a group, we were advised that the National Office of La Societe De Femme had lost their tax exempt status and we were advised not to do anything until we heard from them. Once eligibility was approved we were notified that we should file the required Forms 990EZ and also to complete and file Form 1023 to re establish our Tax Exemption Status as IRS does not have a means of granting exemption status to a Group. I am in the process of completing these forms for the State and Locale 1522 entities.
