What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To operate the local chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity Delta Omega Chapter at University of Tulsa, a college social fraternity. Specifically, to promote the social, intellectual, and moral development of college and university men, both members and pledges of Sigma Chi Fraternity. To continue among graduate members the close friendship and loyalty inspired and stabilized

28 To operate the local chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity Delta Omega Chapter at University of Tulsa, a college social fraternity. Specifically, to promote the social, intellectual, and moral development of college and university men, both members and pledges of Sigma Chi Fraternity. To continue among graduate members the close friendship and loyalty inspired and stabilized by mutual aid and understanding. To support the education of members and outstanding scholars, to assist, members in time of need, and to support selected humanitarian activities. Our organization supports numerous charitable organizations and we hold many community service events annually, such as Derby Days to support cancer research. We also participate in Krach Transformational Workshops each summer and hold weekly chapter meetings. We also hold Rush events to market our organization to potential new members

Explanation:
Due to a miscommunication, we were under the impression that our 990 had been successfully filed through our accounting software, Greekbill. However, Greekbill did not file the form despite displaying that our 990 had been successfully completed. We interpreted this to mean that it had been filed. It was not until today that I discovered that our return had not been filed. There was also a transition of officers in mid November, which led to some confusion over the filing. Proof of the attempt to file through Greekbill on 11/14/2023 can be provided if needed.
