Explanation:

The officers of the Auburn Masonic Hall Association are volunteers, most of which are elected on an annual basis. The Auburn Masonic Hall Association does not have a full-time employee dedicated to overseeing the halls finances. The Hall had filed for a IRS Reinstatement Application during the beginning of the FY 2022. During the process, we had tried to e-file our return but was rejected since the Halls application was still in process. The Hall has acted in good faith. There was no willful disregard for the requirements of maintaining the Halls tax exemption. Immediately upon learning of the oversight, the Hall has taken the necessary steps to re-file the return online with this letter which is way past the deadline. The Hall officers and the Grand Lodge staff have worked together to complete all of the paperwork and will utilized this resource in the future to stay current on the annual filing requirements of the Hall. The Grand Lodge will also be monitoring the compliance of all Masonic Lodges and Halls in California.
