What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The medical staff is required by law to be self governing regarding professional practice and clinical practice and is responsible to the governing board of Garden Cty Hospital to assure quality of patient care. Responsibilities are review and monitor and update criteria for memebrship evaluate applicants for initial and reappointment and makes recommendations to the board peer review to promote best practices and high quality of care
