What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Educational and networking events for approximately 200 members and non-members.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The Northwest Chapter includes members from Oregon, Washington and Vancouver, BC and Calgary, Alberta Canada and is a chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), the most professionally diverse organization in the corporate restructuring, renewal, and corporate health space. Established in 1988, TMA has almost 10,000 members in 54 chapters worldwide. Members include turnaround practitioners, attorneys, accountants, advisors, liquidators, consultants, as well as academic, government employees, and members of the judiciary. The Northwest Chapter TMA offers members a professional community that seeks to strengthen the global economy by working to save distressed businesses, assist management to navigate off-plan events, and help healthy companies avoid similar pitfalls. The Northwest Chapter shows members value by providing networking, educational resources, and certification to members whether they practice at the local, regional, national, or cross-border level. All TMA members are expected to abide by a Code of Ethics, specifying high standards of professionalism, integrity, and competence.
