Other Form 990-EZ Part III Line 28 Organization's program service accomplishments:Leadership:1) Monthly Leadership meetings were held to develop educational policy in partnership with the Nevada Department of Education and the Governor's office. 2) Additional work efforts included but is not limited to committee work on Nevada's Pupil Centered Funding plan, American Association of School Administrators Governing Board representation, Council of Great City School representation, and Nevada State Board of Education member representation and the Nevada Teachers and Leaders Council.
Other Form 990-EZ Part III Line 29 Organization's program service accomplishments: Professional Learning: Nevada Department of Education recertification hours were issued through the 2022 Superintendent Leadership Network for 20 individuals for 35 hours. June 2022 Superintendents' Academy Certificates were issued to 90 superintendents and their executive teams for 10 recertification hours. 3) Planning begun for the 2023 Superintendent's Academy.
Other Form 990-EA Part III Line 30 Organization's program service accomplishments: Advocacy: Superintendents, governmental affairs, and Ms. Keema spent time reading, analyzing, and proposing amendments to legislative bills and testifying on behalf of Pr-K-12 public education. NASS formed an Accountability Committee with the intent to revise Nevada's accountability system; national partners have been secured and have shared best practices in other state/countries; a joint session with legislators and the NV Department of Education is in the planning stages for after the legislative session ends.
