Pt I-A Line 1 After vetting candidates for state legislative and executive office, LGKAN issued endorsements of candidates for the Vermont General Assembly and Governorship. LGKAN publicized the endorsements through media outreach lead by its paid staff, through social media and email channels, and through a hosted website listing endorsed candidates.
Pt I-A Line 1 LGKAN staff also participated in the fundraising for two related 527 Qualified State and Local Political Committees (one that made direct contributions to/coordinated activities with candidates [Vote Child Care Fund]) and one that was independent-expenditure only [Child Care Victory Fund]), registered with the Vermont Secretary of State, which raised funds from the general public to advocate for the election of LGKAN-endorsed child-care champions.
Pt I-A Line 1 Select LGKAN staff members provided communications and outreach consulting services to the Vote Child Care Fund. The LGKAN staff services were rendered pursuant to a contract between the Vote Child Care Fund and LGKAN through which LGKAN was timely and regularly reimbursed, from PAC funds, for the fair market value of the services actually rendered to the PAC as calculated on an hourly basis.

Other Let's Grown Kids Action Network, Inc. ("LGKAN") is related - through partially overlapping directorates and the sharing of staff - with Let's Grow Kids, Inc. ("LGK"), a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to "ensure that every Vermont family who needs it has affordable access to high-quality child care by 2025." Under a written cost sharing agreement, LGKAN reimburses LGK for the allocable salary, benefits and taxes of LGK employees providing services to LGKAN along with the associated allocable overhead. From time to time, LGK also provides financial support to LGKAN in the form of grants to support LGKAN's lobbying and other allowable 501(c)(3)-type activities.
