Pt VI, Line 15b	The standing committees include budget and compensation committees. Full-time positions are served at the pleasure of the membership and the board of LEA. For this fiscal year, the LEA President was on educational leave with LCPS and became a salaried employee receiving compensation and eligible for benefits with LEA.
Pt VI, Line 15a	All officers and directors are unpaid, with the exception of the President, who is salaried. All other officers and directors volunteeer their time to LEA.
Pt VI, Line 11b	The form 990 is reviewed with the consulting CPA and UniServ director.
Pt VI, Line 7b	In each work location, members in good standing shall elect one representative to the representative assembly. Amendments to the bylaws are presented in writing to the representative assembly, or by a petition of 10% of the membership. Should the proposed amendment be ratified by a majority vote of the representative assembly, it becomes effective. The representative assembly may place any issue for a vote of the members. Any issue placed before the members must pass by a majority of those voting. The board shall prepare an annual budget for approval by the representative assembly.
Pt VI, Line 7a	The President of the board appoints an elections committee to receive nominations and conduct elections. This committee shall report the slate of nominees for each officer and board of directors position to be filled. Ballots are sent to each work location. All members in good standing may vote. The candidate receiving a majority vote is elected.
Pt VI, Line 6	There are 4 classes of membership in the association; Active, Substitute, Reserve and Retired. Active membership is open to all professional educators under contract or on leave from Loudoun County Public Schools.
