Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The mission of the Marine Corps League Detachment 710 is to promote the interest and to preserve traditions of the United States Marine Corps. This is accomplished by strengthening the fraternity of Marines and their families, serve Marines, FMF Corpsmen,, and FMF Chaplains who wear or who have worn the Eagle, Globe and Anchor; and foster the ideals of Americanism and patriotic volunteerism.

Form 990, Header, Line A	Marine Corps League Air Land Sea detachment 710 is a small detachment of 35 veterans located in Rutherford, NJ. Our main yearly events is providing the "Color Guard" at the memorial Day parade, St Patrick's Day parade, Veterans Day and 911 ceremonies. In the community we hold an Essay Writing contest and the topic is provided by us and is usually of a partiotic nature such as "should the Star Spangled Banner " be played before sporting events. We also help Marine Corps veterans in the community that may be in need of help such as transportation to a doctors appointment or just to sit and talk with a fellow Marine. We are also involved with the Eagle Scouts and providing awards to outstanding scouts
Form 990, Header, Line B	The Detachment derives all of its funds from dues $35 a year and what we call a can shake. This is standing in front of the Home depot or Lowes asking for donations. Our general expenses are minimal with our largest expense being for a storage locker which costs $82 per month.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b	Thr Treasurer prepares the return and then a meeting is held with officers to go over the return as a group. The current years return is compared to previous year returns to assure accuracy and provide explanations for variances.
