Convention and Visitors Services - The CVS works to generate overnight stays in local hotels by attracting and servicing group business such as conventions, reunions and sporting events and to promote Tyler to leisure tourist and group tours. As a result of these services, 2,017 visitor packets were mailed to interested parties and 14 tour groups. The estimated economic impact of these services is over $475,000. Additionally, conventions held in Tyler brought 15,231 people to the city and had an estimated economic impact of $1,241,000.

Chamber of Commerce - The Chamber works to enhance the business environment, the economic well-being, and quality of life for the Tyler area. The Chamber serviced 2,400 members during the year. FORM 990, SCHEDULE L, PART IV Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce has a formal agreement with the Tyler Economic Development Council TED) for the joint promotion of Tyler. The agreement stipulated that the CEO/President of TEDC would also serve as the CEO of the Chamber.For the year ended September 30, 2022, the Chamber paid TEDC $27,492 to reimburse TEDC for payroll costs of shared employees and other miscellaneous expenses. This amount included $27,492 for CEO Scott Martinez.On January 1, 1999 TEDC entered into a fifteen year lease agreement with the Chamber. The agreement is renewable on an annual basis after maturity of the original agreement. Rent expenses paid to the Chamber from TEDC for 2022 were $40,194.As part of an agreement between the Chamber and the TEDC, $5,000 was paid to the TEDC as half of the proceeds from a special event.
